Custom Perspectives for OmniFocus

Custom perspectives provide filtered views of your OmniFocus projects and actions.

Below you’ll find a collection of ready-to-use custom perspectives for OmniFocus Pro. While many will work as-is, some may require customization to match your tags and folders.

Installing Custom Perspectives on Mac

Open the downloaded perspective file to install. The perspective will appear in the Perspectives menu and automatically sync to your other OmniFocus devices.

Action Perspectives

When it’s time to take action, it’s helpful to hone in on the most relevant actions as quickly and conveniently as possible. The following are some examples of how OmniFocus perspectives can help.

The “On Deck” perspectives utilize planned dates and are recommended for use with OmniFocus 4.7 or later. The following “Today” perspectives are a good alternative if you’re using a previous version of OmniFocus.

Actions that are candidates for completion today. Some actions appear automatically, while others are handpicked from your available actions.

Review Perspectives

It’s important to review OmniFocus regularly to ensure that it accurately reflects your life and work and to keep your commitment level in check. These perspectives give you a quick way of seeing what’s on your plate and what’s on your radar.

All projects (defined outcomes) that are inactive, either because they’ve been deferred to a future date or put on hold. Single action lists, checklists and template projects are automatically excluded from the list.
Shows all remaining projects and single action lists grouped and sorted by their next review date. It is helpful if your review queue has become daunting, or you want to see when previously reviewed projects will next land in the Review perspective.
