This perspective shows all remaining actions that have a planned date and time in the future, whether it’s later today or months away. Review this perspective regularly (maybe even have a repeating OmniFocus action to prompt you to look at Future Plans) and make necessary adjustments.
It’s helpful to have your calendar handy as you’re reviewing future plans, so you’re taking into account how much time you have available on days that have planned actions.
You can even block time off for planned actions by dragging them from OmniFocus to your calendar app. If you drag an OmniFocus action to Apple’s Calendar, the note field will automatically include a link back to OmniFocus. BusyCal and Fantastical take this a step further by adjusting the appointment to match the estimated duration of the OmniFocus action. The default event duration will be used if the estimated duration hasn’t been defined.
