Progress: Active

How to Install

A progress action is an action that serves as a representative for projects with a defined outcome. Using progress actions can draw your attention to specific projects without overwhelming this perspective you’re working from (e.g. On Deck) with numerous actions from projects

For example, you could have a “🧭 Ready for Trip to Austria” project that contains a “▶ Ready for Trip to Austria” action, tagged with “▶ Progress” and with a duration of 30 minutes. This would be a cue to go to this project and spend 30 minutes moving towards the project outcome by completing the actions within the project. Progress actions typically repeat to ensure the project receives regular attention. For example, you may plan the trip on weekends and set the progress action to repeat weekly on Saturday and Sunday.

This perspective shows all progress actions that are “on deck”. In other words, they’re available to be worked on. It excludes actions that are unavailable and those that have a future planned date/time.

The “Tagged with any of” rule references a tag named “▶ Progress”. For this perspective to work, either create a tag called “▶ Progress” or update this rule to reference the progress tag you’re using. The sidebar is hidden in this perspective because it would only show the progress tag.
