2025-05-29 – OmniFocus 4 Workflows with Lee Garrett

OmniFocus aficionado and productivity expert Lee Garrett returned to Learn OmniFocus LIVE to share his OmniFocus 4 setup and workflows.

Lee has a long history with OmniFocus and other productivity apps designed for Apple devices.

In this session, Lee took us on a tour of his thoughtfully designed OmniFocus setup, sharing his approach to personal task management and how it’s evolved over the years. Lee emphasizes simplicity and limits active projects and actions to help stave off overwhelm.

Lee makes good use of Kaitlin Salzke’s Templates for OmniFocus plug-in, which has been featured on Learn OmniFocus. During the session, he showcased how he’s making productive use of templates for his consulting work and ScreenCastsONLINE content creation.

As we’ve shared many times on Learn OmniFocus, a productivity system is more than just OmniFocus. Lee will highlight how he’s using complementary productivity apps, including Drafts and Obsidian, alongside OmniFocus.
