Configure tasks to repeat indefinitely or to end on a specific date or after a specific number of repetitions.
Sometimes it makes sense for a task to repeat indefinitely. For example, if you have an action to “Water plants,” you’ll want it to repeat as long as you have plants to take care of.
However, sometimes it’s helpful to put limits on how many times something repeats. When you specify an “End” in OmniFocus, the repeat automatically ends after a specific number of repetitions or once a date is reached.
For example, if you were reading a book with 25 chapters, you could create an action to “Read a chapter of the book” that ends after 25 repetitions. And if you’re taking care of someone’s cat while they’re away, you could have a repeating action of “Feed neighbour’s cat” that ends when they return.
