Paletro
App Description
OmniFocus has an extensive feature set that can initially be a bit daunting. You may use some features regularly and others periodically. It’s helpful to learn keyboard shortcuts for the ones you use regularly and to have a convenient way of honing in on less-used features.
This is where Paletro comes in. To access everything in the OmniFocus menu, invoke Paletro (⇧⌘P by default) and start typing. Paletro will give you quick and easy access to everything in the OmniFocus menu, including custom perspectives and plug-ins you’ve installed.
Let’s say you want to import an OmniOutliner file into OmniFocus. Use the keyboard shortcut to invoke Paletro (⇧⌘P) and start typing the menu item’s name. You can press ↩ (Return) to select the top result and use the arrow keys to navigate to other results. You’ll see recently accessed menu items the next time you invoke Paletro.
You can also use Paletro to access perspectives (including Custom Perspectives) and Omni Automation Plug-Ins. I installed a plug-in called Learn OmniFocus Resources, which provides a convenient way to access resources on the Learn OmniFocus website. I can use Paletro to run this plug-in and quickly access the resources I seek. In this example, I use the plug-in to navigate to a page that contains Setapp apps that complement OmniFocus, including Paletro.
