Due
App Description
OmniFocus has good support for notifications. You can be notified when a task becomes available, when it’s time to start working on it, and when it becomes overdue. You can also add custom notifications that surface at a specified date and time.
As with most apps, OmniFocus only notifies you once for most notifications. You might not see the notification until it’s too late to take action, or you may miss it altogether.
This is where Due comes in. Like OmniFocus, you can ask Due to notify you at a specific date and time. These notifications can follow a flexible repeat schedule (e.g. every Thursday at 19:00). What distinguishes Due is its support for “nagging reminders.” You can have Due remind you about something as often as every minute. Notifications about this task will continue to arrive until you mark the task complete or adjust the date/time.
Some examples of use cases for Due are medication reminders, travel-related notifications (e.g., a prompt to check in for a flight 24 hours before departure), and contact-related reminders (e.g., sending a message to John to let him know plans for tomorrow). The title of a Due task can contain a link to an OmniFocus perspective, folder, project, tag, or action. When you mark a task with a link complete, Due will allow you to open the link.
Due also has excellent support for Apple Shortcuts on iPhone and iPad. So, you can build shortcuts that combine Due with other apps, including OmniFocus.
