Featured Apps
Join this LIVE session and learn how to make productive use of the following Setapp apps alongside OmniFocus:
BusyCal (homepage | Setapp) – This calendar app from BusyMac is a great alternative or complement to Apple’s Calendar app. You’ll learn how to block off time for your OmniFocus tasks using OmniFocus. Conveniently, BusyCal automatically adds a link back to the OmniFocus task you’ll be working on.
BusyContacts (homepage | Setapp) – BusyMac’s other app is an alternative to Apple’s Contacts app. Using a unique URL, each contact can be referenced from OmniFocus (and other apps). You’ll learn how to make good use of BusyContact’s linking capabilities.
Craft (homepage | Setapp) – This beautifully crafted note-taking app is a natural complement to OmniFocus. You’ll learn how to link OmniFocus and Craft together and how to transform Craft tasks into OmniFocus actions using Craft’s built-in support for OmniFocus.
Hookmark (homepage | Setapp) – When working on tasks in OmniFocus, it’s very helpful to be able to quickly and conveniently access project support information (e.g. files and folders). Hookmark makes it easy to link your OmniFocus tasks to relevant information. You’ll learn to use Hookmark to reduce friction and increase productive flow.
MindNode (homepage | Setapp) – It’s difficult to define projects and actions in OmniFocus if you’re not clear about where you’re going and don’t have at least some idea of how to get there. MindNode is an excellent tool for brainstorming and planning. You’ll learn more about its role in the overall productivity system and how to use MindNode’s integrated OmniFocus support to create OmniFocus actions based on MindNode tasks.
Paletro (homepage | Setapp) — Browsing through menus can be tedious. Paletro adds a command palette to OmniFocus and other Mac apps, making it quick and easy to get to the required feature. You’ll learn to use Paletro to access frequently used OmniFocus features and quickly summon custom perspectives and plug-ins.
Workspaces (homepage | Setapp) – Your projects, especially larger ones, likely involve a variety of apps, documents and local and online resources. Workspaces allows you to corral all of these elements into project-based launchers. This reduces friction when switching between projects and gives you quick and easy access to key project components. You’ll learn the basics of Workspaces and how to incorporate OmniFocus tasks into your project launchers.
And more…
We’ll also touch on other Setapp apps that complement OmniFocus, including Due and Timing. Visit our OmniFocus Setapp Directory for more examples of Setapp productivity apps that complement OmniFocus.
