OmniFocus 3 Workflows with Scotty Jackson
February 20, 2019 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am PST
Scotty Jackson will be joining us on Learn OmniFocus LIVE to share how he uses OmniFocus 3 to manage his multifaceted life.
Scotty is a long-time student of David Allen’s Getting Things Done approach to productivity and has been using OmniFocus since the beginning. He’ll be taking us on a tour of his OmniFocus setup and workflows and will provide details on how he’s using OmniFocus alongside other productivity apps, including how he makes meetings manageable with some help from Agenda.
Scotty’s Many Hats
Scotty has worked in a variety of technology-related roles and currently supports a development team that builds and maintains corporate intranet websites. He works to help digitally enable teams through the introduction of tools, processes, and practices.
His day job is balanced with being a husband and father to three children, including a four-year-old and nine-year-old twins.
Getting Things Done, Kinkless GTD, and OmniFocus
Scotty has been a student of the Getting Things Done methodology since 2005. He started with an index card-based system and later moved to a “Kinkless GTD” system in OmniOutliner. With the launch of OmniFocus, Scotty became entrenched in its capabilities, studying and developing best practices.
An Active Member of the OmniFocus Community
In March of 2018, Scotty joined the core beta test group for OmniFocus 3. He has since been refining his workflow and supporting others in adopting new OmniFocus features and capabilities. He also wrote an article for Inside OmniFocus, is a regular contributor to the Omni Group Discourse Forums, and shares his OmniFocus and productivity wisdom on his personal blog, HeyScottyJ.com.
