Creating Structure in OmniFocus 3
November 14, 2018 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am PST
Whether you’re just getting started with OmniFocus or are revamping your current setup, it’s worth taking some time to clarify what purpose OmniFocus serves and to create a convenient and consistent structure that mirrors your multi-faceted life.
OmniFocus can be configured in a multitude of ways. Having a flexible app can be highly advantageous, and it can also be a bit daunting. Additionally, sometimes OmniFocus gets used for things that it isn’t particularly well suited for and ends up becoming overloaded with information.
This session is all about clarifying OmniFocus’ purpose and developing a strategy for configuring it in a way that’s clear, consistent, and convenient.
Session Overview
Attend this live session and learn techniques and best practices for:
- Determining how OmniFocus fits into your productivity system.
- Designing your system at a conceptual level using mind maps.
- Organizing projects and single action lists into folders.
- Creating parallel and sequential projects and single action lists.
- Creating a tagging structure that supports your day-to-day work.
- Consistently naming projects.
- And more…
This live session will focus on OmniFocus 3 for Mac, but the same principles and structure can be applied to the iOS versions of OmniFocus.
