OmniFocus may have begun to feel like another obligation to fulfill rather than a powerful ally that helps you do your best work. \n\n\n\nParticipate in this interactive workshop and be guided through the process of making OmniFocus useful and welcoming. During this workshop\, you’ll: \n\n\n\n\nMind Sweep – Be guided through a “mind sweep” to surface thoughts in your head and identify important tasks missing from OmniFocus.\n\n\n\nOmniFocus Inbox – Process your OmniFocus inbox\, identifying things that belong in OmniFocus and those that are best kept elsewhere.\n\n\n\nProjects – Review your OmniFocus project structure (or lack thereof) and come up with a plan to organize OmniFocus in a way that complements your life and work.\n\n\n\nTags – Review your OmniFocus tags and streamline your system by adding\, removing and organizing tags.\n\n\n\nDue Dates – Review your use of due dates\, identifying legitimately due tasks and those assigned arbitrarily.\n\n\n\nPerspectives – Review your OmniFocus perspectives\, removing perspectives that are no longer useful and adding perspectives that will help you keep OmniFocus relevant.\n\n\n\nReviews – Come up with a strategy for daily and weekly reviews for OmniFocus.\n\n\n\nSystem Maintenance – Create System Maintenance projects and actions to help you keep OmniFocus on the rails.\n\n\n\nMissing Apps – Identify missing components of your productivity system (e.g. not having a note-taking app you use consistently).\n\n\n\n\nPlease complete the Getting Back on Track with OmniFocus 4 course before attending this workshop. DESCRIPTION:OmniFocus and GTD aficionado Jason Atwood returns to Learn OmniFocus LIVE to share his OmniFocus 4 setup and workflows.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJason has a long history with productivity. He’s been practicing David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD) approach for 20 years and recently completed his 😮 1000th weekly review (check out his blog post on the subject to read his insights). \n\n\n\nHe’s been using OmniFocus since the beginning and has evolved his setup and workflows over the past years\, developing OmniFocus into a highly trusted and efficient tool. Before OmniFocus’ initial launch\, Jason used OmniOutliner for task management\, following the guidelines of the “Kinkless GTD” approach that inspired the creation of OmniFocus. \n\n\n\nUsing OmniFocus at Arkus\n\n\n\nJason is the Co-Founder and CEO of Arkus\, Inc. and describes himself as an “overly certified consultant.” Based in New York City\, Arkus is a consulting company and Salesforce Partner established in 2010. The company consists of a growing number of expert project managers and developers. \n\n\n\nEveryone working at Arkus applies GTD principles\, and many use OmniFocus as their personal task manager. To help reinforce this productive corporate culture\, Jason leads training sessions that feature GTD and OmniFocus. \n\n\n\nDuring this session\, Jason will share his experiences using OmniFocus and GTD in a team environment. He’ll also touch on how he and his team use OmniFocus alongside collaborative solutions\, including Salesforce and Slack. \n\n\n\nThe David Allen Company\n\n\n\nJason was interviewed by David Allen on the Getting Things Done podcast on the theme of Installing GTD in an Organization in 2019.
